Riverbend is provided by Calypso Rolph ("Riverbend", "we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use Riverbend, you agree to these terms. You must be of legal age in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
What Riverbend is
Riverbend is a learning app for fly fishing: lessons on casting, knots, fly tying and kit, a fly box you can photograph and organise, and AI helpers that offer suggestions. Advice is general guidance, not a guarantee of results, and never a substitute for local rules, licences or your own judgement about safety on the water.
Your account
Keep your login details private — you're responsible for what happens on your account. Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You can use most of Riverbend without an account, but an account is needed to keep your data across devices and to buy Premium.
Acceptable use
You must not use Riverbend to:
- break the law, or fish in ways that break local regulations;
- upload content you don't have the rights to, or anything unlawful or abusive;
- send spam, attempt fraud, or impersonate anyone;
- interfere with the service — probing, scraping, malware, or getting around technical limits such as free plan caps.
Photos you make public (for example a catch shared to the public catches page) may be reviewed and hidden by us if they break these rules.
AI helpers
Ollie, Harriet and the Riverbend Guide produce AI-generated suggestions. They can be wrong. Check anything that matters — safety, access, licences and local rules — before you act on it. You are responsible for what you ask and how you use the answers, and for having the rights to any photo you upload.
Our content
Riverbend, including its software, lessons, illustrations and branding, belongs to Calypso Rolph. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app. Don't copy, resell or reverse engineer it. Content you add stays yours; you give us permission to store and process it so we can run the service for you.
Premium and payment
Riverbend Premium is a single one-off payment of £4.99. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax and refund mechanics are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy.
Service level
We work to keep Riverbend running well, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits, data or goodwill.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account for material breach of these terms, non-payment, fraud or security risk, or repeated policy violations. You can delete your account at any time; your saved data is removed with it.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Questions? Get in touch through the app and we'll come back to you.
